At his recent rally in El Paso, Texas, President Trump quipped that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (AOC) Green New Deal "sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark."
While most would agree being good stewards of the environment makes sense, the radical government overreach in the Green New Deal shows the Democrats have gone off the proverbial deep end.
The FAQ sheet originally posted on AOC's website sparked both outrage and comic relief from legislators and citizens who have dodged the barrage of insanity bullets fired off from the Left. AOC wasted no time removing the FAQ sheet from her site, citing multiple conflicting accounts about it being accidentally released, rough drafts circulating online, and claims of Republican tampering. As if the Republicans would do such a thing--the Green New Deal in all its communist glory is better left intact because it will guarantee victory for them in 2020.
What's In The FAQ Sheet AOC Wants To Hide?
- Economic security for all who are unable or UNWILLING to work. If the government is going to pay for everything, won't that mean everyone will be unwilling to work? How will society continue to run if we all decide to quit our jobs? This provision of the Green New Deal was removed from House Resolution 109 introduced on February 7; however, ambiguous wording open for interpretation is still included with this promise: to provide unprecedented levels of prosperity and economic security for ALL PEOPLE of the United States. Not "all people" can have prosperity and economic security unless they either work hard to achieve it or have it handed to them at the expense of someone else. You will always have deadbeats.
- Replace every combustion-engine vehicle. You heard that correctly. No more cars. The Green New Deal vows to "totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, create affordable public transit available to all." Have you ever used public transit? In my home city, community leaders looking to overhaul our public transit system spent an entire day hopping buses to reach their common destinations to evaluate its efficiency. They found it took over six hours just to hit a few places like the laundromat, grocery store, and doctor's office. Imagine trying to drop your kids off at school, go to your job, run to the grocery store, and pick your kids up on the way home, relying on the Green New Deal's transportation system. Planning a special vacation? Good luck trying to fit your family's luggage in a rinky-dink electric car, and let's just hope your battery doesn't die when you are miles from nowhere. For a yabba-dabba-do time, invest in one of these vehicles--the ideal choice for the modern stone age family:
- No more airplanes. How does the Green New Deal plan to make the elimination of air travel possible? By building high-speed rail, of course. As the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld might bark, "No tropical vacation for you!" Your freedom is gone. Your leash can't stretch across the ocean.
- No more use of fossil fuels. How are you going to heat your house, and how will you power your home? AOC promises to keep coal in the ground where it belongs. Doesn't this sound a lot like Venezuela? Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves, but its citizens are starving to death under its socialist regime--the same socialist framework the radical Left wants to impose on our country in place of capitalism. Here's another kicker--America is only responsible for 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and since no other country plans to impose the Green New Deal, the Left's stupidity will leave us vulnerable.
- Get rid of farting cows. Yes, between belching and flatulating, cows produce somewhere between 26-132 gallons of methane gas each day. Though experts can't pin down an exact amount, cows supposedly emit an amount comparable to the average car on a daily basis. So, according to AOC, they must go. Back to the Soup Nazi, "No steak for you!"
- Retrofit every building in America. Forget that home improvement project you planned on because AOC is going to decide how your home and workplace will need upgraded to comply with new energy standards.
- Provide healthy food. In addition to the "free" universal health care, housing, and economic security and nature to all, the government is now going to provide us with healthy food. Don't we already have healthy food at the grocery store? It appears we will be all forced into the vegan lifestyle, and the government will decide what we are permitted to consume. I will be so ticked if I can't have Doritos.
How do radicals plan to pay for this sweeping overhaul? Well, AOC claims "this is massive investment in our economy and society, not expenditure." Really? Even experts can't sufficiently estimate how many trillions upon trillions this deal would cost, but it's safe to say our entire American economy would instantaneously collapse from the strain. That's okay because AOC says we will just "print more money."
Pop quiz: What is the biggest direct threat to the national security of the United States? According to the radical socialist Democratic Party, it's not the drug traffickers, human traffickers, and criminal illegal aliens crossing our southern border. It's not ISIS or other terrorist group. It's not "Rocket Man" Kim Jong Un from North Korea. It's not Chinese or Russian aggression. It's not Iran whose goal is to nuke Israel and the US. Nope. None of those--it's climate change. Even though the Earth has entered a slow cooling phase, and even though "scientific" models have been proven to be bogus and every other targeted date for the Earth's cataclysmic demise has come and gone, climate change is still our biggest threat to national security.
The Green New Deal is more concerned with "restoring and protecting threatened, endangered and fragile ecosystems" and "land preservation and afforestation" than the new fragile ecosystem arising--our American way of living. The Green New Deal authorizes the government to be the "prime driver." Instead of being a nation governed by the people and for the people with a small federal government, our freedom and constitution will be hijacked by an enormous and powerful government that will make every decision concerning our lives.
Nearly every major Democratic Presidential contender backs the Green New Deal. This includes Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Jeff Merkeley, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, and Jay Inslee. Anyone who votes for these anti-American radicals is a traitor to this country.
The Green New Deal Is a Repackaging of Communist Doctrine!
Stalin's Five-Year Plan
Like the Green New Deal, Stalin's Five-Year Plan called for rapid industrialization to save the country from destruction. Also like AOC, he promised high wages, but when workers couldn't meet the goals of such rapid demands, they were shot or sent to labor camps. Guess who else was sent to the death camps? People with differing political and religious views who opposed socialist tyranny.
Hitler's Four-Year Plan
Adolph Hitler imposed socialism by installing a four-year plan to achieve a utopia that worked for the greater good of society by exterminating anyone who was deemed a burden. Like Hitler, AOC's Green New Deal essentially relegates us peasants into forced labor, eliminates the middle class, deprives us of food and health care, and eliminates any semblance of freedom or choice. Just as Hitler had a propaganda machine to brainwash citizens, the radicalized Democratic Party uses our mainstream media for the same purposes.
Here's actor, lawyer, and economist Ben Stein's take on AOC and her Green New Deal: "We have a society in which there are an awful lot of people who have no idea that Stalin, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung all came to power promising the same kinds of things that Miss Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is promising. That led to mass murder, led to dictatorship, and led to genocide."
Rush Limbaugh concurs with Stein's comparison and goes further by pointing out liberals have "totalitarian instincts, authoritarian instincts--they are Stalinist to the core." Anyone who disagrees with the liberal agenda is a threat, Limbaugh asserts.
The Trojan Horse
Many have compared the Green New Deal to the Trojan Horse. The resolution provides what appear to be "free goodies," but the ultimate goal is the destruction of our constitutional republic, imposing socialism by a drastic tyrannical takeover, and the end of America as we know it. We will all then enjoy the "shared prosperity" of nothingness-just as the Green New Deal promises.
